5 Ways To Spring Clean Your Lifestyle

Winter can leave us in a bit of a funk, both physically and mentally. You may have spent the last few months in a fitness hibernation or fell off your workout routine. Now’s the perfect time to “spring clean” your mentality. Here are five ways to kickstart your best spring yet!

Prioritize: Rome wasn’t built in a day, so don’t put extra pressure on yourself to get everything done in 24 hours. Balance is a must! At work, make checklists and start with the most-important action items first. Any items you don’t get to can roll over to the following day’s checklist. Don’t forget that sleeping, eating, and taking time for yourself are just as (if not more) important than your job.

Meditate: Stressed? Calm your mind with a 10-minute mediation session. Sit on a pillow in your bedroom, cross your legs, and close your eyes. Leave your phone on silent and let your mind focus on calming thoughts and steady breathing. Ten minutes may not seem like a long time, but you’ll feel refreshed and ready to tackle whatever the day throws at you.

Stay positive: Positive thoughts breed positive outcomes. Negativity clouds your outlook and judgment, and that won’t do you any good. Turn your “can’ts” into “cans” and know that you are your biggest cheerleader! Write down a list of your strengths and read them to yourself daily. This will give you a well-deserved extra pump-up!
